Br prepared: Plan what healthcare treatment you want to happen in a medical emergency

A “Living Will” workshop will be held at the Community Room at the Woods on Friday, April 23 from 2-4.

The workshop will help you determine what life-prolonging, medical treatment you
want or don’t want in potential end-of-life situations. You will designate who you want to make health care decisions for you, if you can’t. And it will save your loved ones from having to make those wrenching – and often costly – decisions.

Gualala Arts Lecture Series 11/1/10
Monday, November 1st, 7:00 pm at 46501 Gualala Road in Gualala, CA.

Although the thought of dying is not a pleasant one, Maggie Watson's talk on November 1 at 7:00 p.m. entitled "A Graceful Farewell" can ease the trauma associated with this difficult topic. She has thoughtfully prepared a step-by-step guide to provide peace of mind and comfort for anyone knowing that one's personal and financial data are organized and that one's intentions for possessions and even the funeral are planned.
Drawing on information from her book and accompanying CD with the same title as the talk, Maggie can help organize for the eventuality of someone passing. She will cover other information an executor will need gathered in one place, such as insurance, medical, financial, and household details.
In addition, she will discuss writing wills, trusts, advanced directives, and power of attorney documents. On a more personal level she has helpful ways to convey specific instructions and tools to encourage communication among family members and even ideas on how one can plan his or her own funeral.
